The incidents of the ‘braid chopping’ in Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and now in Punjab shocks the North region. Haryana was the first state where the incidents of braid cutting started at various places. It’s more than a trouble as there was no reason found behind the braiding.

Women are being targeted for the ‘braid chopping’ and even the cops are clueless that why such incidents happening and who is behind the braiding. In Punjab, three incident happened recently at different places where the ‘braid cuttings’ were done when the women were sleeping.

Interestingly, the victims belong to the poor strata of the society and even the gangs also belong to the same. The incidents have been happening in the slums or the migrant laborers’ colonies. It seems that the gang perhaps indulged in some black which led them to perform such stupid blunder.

The residents of Kotkasim village in Rajasthan got a vital clue as the villagers caught a woman red handed while doing braid chopping. The villagers tied the woman with a pole and later handed over to police.

In the preliminary investigations, the woman revealed that she is a part of 50 members’ team including 35 women and 15 men. During investigation, the woman revealed that the group has to chop 1008 braids and if the achieve the target then they will empowered with super power.

Somehow the incidents are related with the black magic and especially the illiterate people have been performing such task which is considered vulnerable in the society.

The black magic had claimed so many lives in different parts of the country where illiterate people fallen in the hands of so called God’s men who directed them to perform various tasks to get their dreams fulfilled.

In the era of globalization, when India has been achieving greater heights in all spheres, there are people in the society who are brining bad name just because of little knowledge.
