Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally spoke to the rescued men over the phone. The mammoth rescue operation was initiated after a portion of the under-construction tunnel from the Silkyara end collapsed on November 12, trapping 41 workers. The workers hailed from various states, including Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, and Himachal Pradesh.
