J&K: Rahul Gandhi to Sponsor Education of 22 Children Affected by Pak Shelling

Rahul Gandhi Latest News: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has pledged to sponsor the education of 22 children who lost one or both parents in the recent Pakistani shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district during Operation Sindoor, PTI reported citing a party leader.

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee president Tariq Hameed Karra, who is currently on a three-day visit to Rajouri, shared the update with reporters on Monday night.

“A significant number of civilians were killed or injured, and properties were damaged in the shelling that occurred in Poonch and Rajouri between May 7 and 10,” Karra said. “Following the incident, Rahul Gandhi visited Poonch and met with the grieving families. He instructed us to compile a list of school-going children who lost one or both parents—particularly the primary earners. We have submitted the list of 22 such children to him.”
