After Diljit Dosanjh, PM Narendra Modi pitches in for live concerts in India latest news: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently pointed out the huge potential of India's concert economy, referring to the success of high-profile concerts like Diljit Dosanjh's India tour and Coldplay's shows in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Addressing the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, PM Modi underlined the opportunity to boost tourism, create jobs, and enhance India's global identity in the creative sector. He said that top artists from around the world are being attracted to India and asked both state and private sectors to invest in infrastructure for the concert economy, underlining its potential to generate revenue and employment.

PM Modi said that India has a rich heritage in its music, dance, and storytelling and numerous young people and a massive consumer base for concerts, presenting huge opportunities in the concert economy. He pointed out that there has been an immense trend and demand for live events over the last decade and even in recent times he said, like the Coldplay concerts.

The prime minister also announced that India will host the first ever World Audio-Visual Summit next month, which will brand the country with its creative power at the world level. He stressed the scale and speed at which specialized infrastructure is being built in the country, which makes it an attractive investment destination.

PM Modi also focuses on developing the dedicated shipment connecting the East and West coastlines and constructing dozens of industrial cities all over the country equipped with plug-and-play facilities. He stated that Odisha is also creating similar opportunities with significant investments in railway and highway network projects to reduce the logistics cost of industries in the state. The government is connecting Odisha's ports with industrial clusters and developing new ports. This makes Odisha stand in the forefront among the top states for the blue economy.

This includes creating a very strong supply and value chain within India by supporting MSMEs and start-ups and investing in research and innovation to drive industrial growth. He again urged support for related MSMEs, their growth, handholding, and providing support for young start-ups.

The prime minister added that no industry can grow without new technology, and research and innovation are essential. The government is building a vibrant ecosystem for research across the country, with a special fund created for this purpose. A special package has also been announced for internships and skill development, aiming to strengthen India's research ecosystem and directly benefit industries.
