Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy fell into a deep borewell in Medak, Telangana on Wednesday. After hours of hard work, the local police and NDRF team pulled the child out. He was found dead and his body is shifted to the local hospital.
The incident took place in Papannapet Mandal of the district. Medak Collector Dharma Reddy said that three borewells were dug here without permission and necessary action would be taken against them.
PhotoLocal officials said the borewell was dug on Wednesday. This borewell is 120 to 150 feet deep. The NDRF team supplied oxygen to the baby to breathe in the borewell.
Night lights were also provided so that relief and rescue operations would not be hampered.
PhotoThe child had gone for a walk in the fields with his family. During this time, while playing, he slipped and fell into the borewell. When the baby was not seen for a long time, family members began searching for him.
Meanwhile, someone reported the baby's voice coming from the borewell. The family rushed to the spot and local police were called after receiving information about the incident but they could not save the baby.
