In a major reprieve for YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, the Supreme Court on Monday directed authorities to release his passport. This decision comes in the backdrop of the controversy surrounding his remarks during the "India’s Got Latent" episode.

The top court permitted Allahbadia to approach the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Bureau to formally apply for the release of his passport.

Meanwhile, both Maharashtra and Assam state governments informed the court that investigations into the FIRs filed against Allahbadia had been completed.
