Speaking on the occasion, Shah said, “Hindi cannot be the enemy of any Indian language. Hindi is a friend of all Indian languages, and together, they can take our self-esteem movement to its ultimate goal.”

He emphasized the growing use of regional languages in national-level examinations, stating, “JEE, NEET, and CUET are now being conducted in 13 Indian languages. Earlier, candidates could appear for CAPF constable recruitment exams only in English or Hindi. We made the process flexible, and today, I am happy to share that 95% of the candidates are appearing in their mother tongue. This reflects the bright future of Indian languages in the days to come.”

Shah asserted that the Department of Official Language will play a key role in promoting Indian languages as instruments of national unity. “In the past, language was used as a tool to divide India. Those attempts failed, but the intent was there. Now, we will ensure that our languages become a powerful medium of unity. The foundation being laid under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership will help build a great India by 2047. On that path, we must develop, enrich, and expand the utility of Indian languages.”
