Security Forces Bust Terrorist Hideout, Recover Arms Cache in Kupwara: Police
SRINAGAR, April 26 (PTI): Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition after busting a terrorist hideout in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Saturday, the PTI reported citing police.
The operation comes just days after the terror attack near Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, heightening tensions in the region and prompting intensified counter-terror operations by security forces to prevent further violence.
According to report, citing officials, read that acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint search operation was launched in the Sedori Nala area of Mushtaqabad Machil (Samsha Behak forest region) in north Kashmir's Kupwara district. During the search, security forces unearthed the hideout and seized the weapons.
