The epicenter was located in Sonipat. The sudden shaking prompted residents to leave their homes in panic, seeking safety in open areas.

This incident follows another earthquake approximately a month ago when tremors were felt in Rohtak and nearby districts at 7:50 AM. That quake registered a magnitude of 3 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter 7 kilometers below Rohtak.
