PM Modi on Tejas Latest News: In a significant demonstration of confidence in India's indigenous defense capabilities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi soared through the skies in the Tejas aircraft on Friday. The successful flight left the Prime Minister not only impressed but also instilled in him a heightened sense of pride and optimism regarding the country's technological prowess.

Sharing his experience on the social media platform 'X' (previously Twitter), Prime Minister Modi hailed the flight of Tejas as a success. The post read, "Successful flight of Tejas," accompanied by expressions of his incredible experience aboard the indigenous aircraft. The Prime Minister's first-hand encounter with Tejas underscored the strides made in bolstering India's defense preparedness and reliance on homegrown technologies.

Reflecting on the flight, PM Modi expressed, "The experience was incredible, which strengthened my confidence in our country's indigenous capabilities and gave me a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national capabilities." The Tejas aircraft, a symbol of India's commitment to self-reliance in defense, has been a focal point in the government's efforts to enhance indigenous manufacturing in the defense sector.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down in Bangalore and proceeded to visit the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The visit included an inspection of the manufacturing hub of Tejas, further emphasizing the government's commitment to advancing aerospace capabilities within the country.

Tejas, an integral part of the government's strategic initiatives for bolstering defense preparedness, was inducted into the Indian Air Force in 2016. Currently, the 45 Squadron and 18 Squadron of the Indian Air Force operate fully operational Tejas aircraft, marking a significant milestone in the indigenous production of advanced fighter jets.
