Four Detained for Impersonation and Security Breach at Military College in Secunderabad
In a serious case of impersonation and security breach at a military installation in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, four individuals from Hyderabad, Telangana, have been detained by the police, ANI reported on X.
The detainees have been identified as Rakesh Kumar Naresh Rai, Ashish Kumar, Aaliya Abbshi, and Nagma Bano Mahemoood.
According to the report, on June 19th at around 1300 hours, four civilians — including one person impersonating an Indian Air Force officer with the name Wing Commander Rajat Kumar Mishra — attempted to enter through the MI Techno Chowk Gate of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad without authorization.
The individuals reportedly used a fake identity card to gain access to the premises.
They were stopped and observed by sentries at the Jubilee Gate of MCEME while they were seen clicking photographs and recording videos of sensitive military areas, including the CSD canteen and a soldier monument located along the road.
The sentries promptly alerted the MCEME Quick Reaction Team (QRT), after which the individuals were detained for questioning.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway, the report added.
