
Haryana government has already declared one month of summer holidays in government and private schools beginning June 1.
Haryana School Summer Vacation Holidays News: While the Punjab Government has declared summer vacation in schools from May 21 in view of the prevailing heat wave, the Haryana Government on Sunday directed deputy commissioners (DCs) to assess the weather conditions and decide on holidays in government as well as private schools.
Likewise, the DCs of 11 districts in Haryana have declared holidays in schools. According to information, schools in Karnal, Kaithal, and Rewari will remain closed for classes up to 5 while the schools in Hisar, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Jind, Sonepat and Noah will be closed for classes up to VIII and in Charkhi Dadri, the schools will remain closed till May 24.
“The state government has decided that the DCs shall assess the weather situation in their respective districts,” said the directorate of school education in a letter sent to the DCs regarding holidays in view of the prevailing heat wave.
The letter also stated that the DCs may decide the closure of schools, be it government or private, on any particular day/days. These powers will remain with the DCs till May 31 only.
