COVID-19 Latest Update: India is witnessing a resurgence of COVID-19 cases, causing heightened apprehension for health authorities. On Sunday, the Union Health Ministry reported a significant spike with 335 new infections, pushing the total number of active cases to 1,701.

The latest data from the health ministry reveals a grim picture, indicating five new fatalities, with four reported in Kerala and one in Uttar Pradesh. The overall COVID-19 caseload in the country now stands at 4.50 crore (4,50,04,816), while the number of recovered individuals has reached 4.46 crore (4,44,69,799). The health ministry emphasizes a national recovery rate estimated at 98.81 percent.
