Security Forces Neutralize Terrorist Threat in 9-Hour Gunbattle

POONCH: In a fierce joint operation carried out in the Sindhra area of Poonch, security forces successfully neutralized four foreign terrorists. The intense encounter, which commenced around 11:30 pm on Monday night, lasted for approximately 9 hours, culminating in the elimination of the terrorists. The identities of the slain terrorists are currently under investigation.

The security forces, comprising Indian Army Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles, and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel, launched the operation under "Operation Trinetra-2," following intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the Poonch region.

During the prolonged gunbattle, there was a heavy exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists. To bolster their efforts, the security forces employed advanced surveillance equipment and drones to closely monitor the situation. The successful operation marks a significant victory for the security forces in their relentless pursuit of eradicating terrorism from the region.
