In a significant diplomatic initiative, India is set to send seven all-party parliamentary delegations to key global partner nations later this month. The move comes in the backdrop of Operation Sindoor and aims to spotlight India’s resolute stance against cross-border terrorism, particularly the role of Pakistan in fomenting violence.
The delegations will visit influential countries, including several members of the United Nations Security Council, to present India’s perspective on Operation Sindoor and its broader anti-terror operations. According to government sources, the effort is part of a strategic global outreach to counter Pakistan's narrative and rally international support against terrorism.
The following Members of Parliament will lead the seven delegations:
-
Shashi Tharoor (Congress)
-
Ravi Shankar Prasad (Bharatiya Janata Party)

Sanjay Kumar Jha (Janata Dal United)
-
Baijayant "Jay" Panda (Bharatiya Janata Party)
-
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam)

Supriya Sule (Nationalist Congress Party)
-
Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena)
These multi-party delegations reflect a rare moment of political consensus on matters of national security. The initiative also signals India’s firm commitment to take its case against terrorism to the global stage, emphasizing that acts of terror, especially those originating across the border, will not go unanswered.
Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, has been projected by the Indian government as a decisive countermeasure aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure and sending a strong message to perpetrators of violence.
The Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs are jointly coordinating the visit, which is scheduled to begin in the third week of May and conclude in early June. Delegates are expected to engage with top political leadership, security experts, and media outlets in the countries they visit.
The diplomatic push underscores New Delhi’s evolving policy of linking terror with diplomacy and ensuring that India's narrative receives rightful attention and support on the world stage.
