Haryana Latest News: In a significant move to enhance discipline and public safety, Haryana Police has imposed a ban on constables' use of mobile phones and electronic devices while on duty.
The directive, issued by Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Kapur, outlines concerns over the use of mobile phones, citing their potential to distract personnel, compromise public safety, and tarnish the professional image of the police force.
The letter emphasizes that constables are to refrain from personal calls or activities involving electronic devices during their duty hours. However, an exception has been made for personal communication, allowing constables to make calls to their families using the phones of their respective in-charges.
Improving Efficiency and Public Trust
The decision underscores Haryana Police’s commitment to ensuring that officers remain vigilant and focused while on duty, particularly during situations where public safety is paramount.
The DGP’s directive is expected to curb distractions caused by personal phone usage and reinforce the integrity and efficiency of the police force.
By addressing these operational challenges, the Haryana Police aims to strengthen its public image and set a higher standard of professionalism within its ranks.
