Dehradun Accident Latest News Today:
The crash took place at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday when a speeding Innova collided with the rear of a container truck, leaving the vehicle completely wrecked. According to Circle Officer (City) Neeraj Semwal, all six victims, under the age of 25, died instantly. A seventh passenger, 25-year-old Siddhesh Agrawal, survived but remains in critical condition at Synergy Hospital.
Preliminary investigations suggest the collision occurred in the truck’s rear blind spot, an area challenging for large vehicles. The car, reportedly speeding as it neared ONGC Chowk, crashed into the truck’s rear left section. CCTV footage revealed that the vehicle was moving at a normal speed earlier in the night, but accelerated suddenly before the accident.
Most of the victims were residents of Dehradun, with one from Chamba.
