'If I perspire, it is for you, as you are my family. Your suffering pains me deeply', Says PM Modi

NEW-DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the nation from the iconic Red Fort on the occasion of 76th Independence Day, made a resolute declaration that he will continue to serve the country's citizens. With a sense and hope of dedication and landslide victory in 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, he said, 'We will return next year on August 15 to present before you the Achievements & Developments of our Country.'

Amidst the historical surroundings, Prime Minister Modi touched upon the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, hinting at his involvement. "In the year 2014, I pledged to usher in change. You, the citizens of this great nation, placed your trust in me. I transformed my promise into a bond of faith. In 2019, your decision was based on my performance. I have been blessed once more. Change has given me another opportunity. I will strive to fulfill every aspiration of yours. I will be here again on the next August 15 to present before you the Achievements & Developments of our Country. I am here for you. If I perspire, it is for you, as you are my family. Your suffering pains me deeply," Prime Minister Modi conveyed.

Reflecting on the nation's journey, he acknowledged India's evolution from the 10th to the 5th largest economy globally. The Prime Minister attributed this progress to the tireless efforts of the country's 1.4 billion citizens. He also highlighted the substantial increase in confiscated assets, signaling a crackdown on corruption and financial impropriety.

"Those who misappropriated your hard-earned resources fled the nation. We have taken control of assets that are now 20 times larger than before. Naturally, those implicated are discontented with me. Nevertheless, my determination to combat corruption remains steadfast," Prime Minister Modi stated. He identified corruption, nepotism, and appeasement as key hindrances to development and called for their eradication to fulfill India's aspirations.

The Prime Minister also showcased the government's accomplishments, including the timely completion of the new parliament building. He praised the spirit of the "New India," characterized by unwavering determination and continuous advancement. Prime Minister Modi expressed his assurance that India would ascend to being one of the world's top three economies in the next five years.

"Confronting the three vices - corruption, nepotism, and appeasement - is the need of the hour. These elements have hindered our nation's progress. How can a solitary family lay claim to a political party? Their mantra seems to be 'Party of the family, by the family, and for the family…'," emphasized the Prime Minister.
