Collective Spirit of India stands beside Manipur's People: PM Modi

NEW-DELHI: Marking the 76th anniversary of India's independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered his heartfelt address from the iconic Red Fort. His 10th speech from this historic venue was characterized by a message of solidarity and progress, where he invoked the spirit of familial togetherness that binds the nation as one.

In a poignant opening, Prime Minister Modi turned his attention towards Manipur, a state that has grappled with violence and unrest for several months. Expressing optimism, he shared, "There was a period of turmoil in Manipur, where precious lives were lost and the dignity of mothers and daughters was compromised. However, we now witness a consistent stream of news reporting peace emerging from the region." This encouraging shift, he attributed to the collaborative efforts of both state and central governments in resolving the issues at hand.

Underscoring his commitment to the well-being of the people of Manipur, the Prime Minister assured them that the entire nation stands in unwavering support. Emphasizing that lasting solutions can only be attained through peaceful means, he called upon the citizens of Manipur to embrace this path towards reconciliation. 

Reflecting on the tumultuous year that various states across the nation have endured, the Prime Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to all those impacted by unforeseen crises. He assured the affected families that the government stands committed to collaborative efforts aimed at surmounting these challenges.
