Another exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces took place on Monday night in Jammu and Kashmir, following the recent incident where four security personnel were martyred.
The gunfight occurred when security forces launched a search operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Lasana village of Surankote, located in the Poonch district.
“Contact was established with terrorists during a joint operation with Police at Lasana, Surankote last night. Additional troops have been inducted, and search operations are ongoing to prevent the terrorists from escaping,” the Army’s Jammu-based White Knight Corps wrote on X.
One army personnel has reportedly been injured in the firing.
