PM Surya Ghar Yojana portal has gone down due to a technical glitch.
PM Surya Ghar Yojana Website, Portal Down News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced the launch of the rooftop solar power scheme for free electricity – PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. Those who want to install solar panels on rooftops can go to its portal and apply for the same.
However, the PM Surya Ghar Yojana portal has gone down due to a technical glitch, and thus, the website has been put under maintenance.
With an investment of over Rs 75,000 crore, the project aims to light 1 crore homes by providing up to 300 units of free electricity every month.
The central government stated that it will ensure there is no cost burden on people and that all stakeholders will be linked to a national online portal which will provide further convenience.
