Farmers will stage chakka jams between 12pm and 4pm

Farmers Protest 2024, Gramin Bharat Bandh on 16 Feb Update: Farmers across the North India have been protesting against the Central Government for not fuilling their promises that it made in 2021 while repealing the three farm laws. 

However, several farm organisations didn't participated in this year's Delhi Chalo March but they have now started supporting them because of the police's "attack" on farmers. 

There is huge anger among the farmers against corporate loot in agriculture and non-fulfillment of the six demands that were accepted after 13 months of agitation in 2021. District Secretary Master Jagroshan said that the Government of India should give statutory guarantee by issuing MSP, as per its promise.

Gramin Bharat Bandh on 16 Feb:

Amidst the ongoing "Delhi Chalo' March, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced Gramin Bharat Bandh on February 16. The SKM's Gramin Bharat Bandh will kick off from 6am to 4pm. 

According to the reports, the Bandh will also be supported by central trade unions. Farmers will stage chakka jams between 12pm and 4pm. Also, most of the states and National highways in Punjab will be closed for four hours on Friday.
