BJP Announces Mohan Yadav as Chief Minister- Elect, Ujjain South MLA to Lead Madhya Pradesh

Who is Mohan Yadav: In a strategic move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has declared Ujjain South MLA Mohan Yadav as the Chief Minister-elect for Madhya Pradesh. The 58-year-old leader secured his position after being named the leader of the BJP legislative party during a crucial meeting held at the party headquarters in Bhopal. Who is Mohan Yadav?

Born on March 25, 1965, in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav's association with the BJP spans several years. In addition to his political endeavors, Yadav is recognized as a successful businessman. His recent victory in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly election saw him defend his seat in the Ujjain South constituency, securing a convincing win with 95,699 votes, marking his third consecutive term as an MLA.

Mohan Yadav's political journey commenced with his election as an MLA in 2013, and he further solidified his standing by winning re-election in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. A prominent figure within the BJP, Yadav served as the higher education minister in the previous Shivraj Singh Chouhan government.
