A truck allegedly carrying intoxicant substances was seized today in the outskirts of Jammu district, police said.

A truck allegedly carrying intoxicant substances was seized today in the outskirts of Jammu district, police said.  A special drive against drugs was launched by police where a Srinagar-bound truck was intercepted for police checking at the Manwal area of the city, a police official said. According to the official, on seeing the police the driver left the vehicle and fled away from the spot. During a search of the vehicle, the police party recovered 18000 bottles of Maxsoft and Corex, which he was carrying without any permission, he said.  A case has been registered and further investigation is on, he added.
