Police Launch Intensive Investigation After Seizing 12,000 Gelatin Sticks from Abandoned House in Birbhum

BIRBHUM: A Significant Discovery was made by the Rampurhat police in Birbhum, West Bengal, as they seized around 60 boxes containing approximately 12,000 pieces of gelatin sticks in a deserted house near Radipur village on Sunday morning. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case, and the police are actively investigating the matter. Further details are awaited as authorities delve deeper into the situation.

According to a police official, the Rampurhat police station in Birbhum was alerted to the presence of the gelatin sticks, a highly sensitive and potentially hazardous explosive material. Upon verification of the information, they swiftly carried out an operation to secure the area and recover the cache of gelatin sticks from the deserted house.

The discovery comes amidst heightened concerns over the illegal possession and use of explosives in the state. In a similar incident in April earlier this year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had arrested two individuals who were involved in supplying explosives and gelatin sticks. The suspects were identified as Merajuddin Ali Khan from Bokaro and Mir Muhammad Nuruzman from Birbhum.

Authorities have been closely monitoring such activities to ensure the safety and security of the public. The illegal possession and usage of such explosive materials pose a serious threat to public safety and can have devastating consequences if not handled properly. The ongoing investigation into the current case aims to identify the source and intent behind the possession of such a large quantity of gelatin sticks in the deserted house.
