Pune Police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly attempting to damage the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

According to police officials, the incident took place Sunday night, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Milind Mohite told the media, "We received information, after which the police reached the spot immediately and arrested the individual. An investigation is currently underway."
