Diljit Dosanjh Shuts Down Rumours of Being Dropped from Border 2, Shares Reel from Set

Diljit Dosanjh Border 2 Film Latest News Updates: Diljit Dosanjh has found himself at the centre of a controversy following the overseas release of his latest film Sardaar Ji 3 on April 22, which stars Pakistani actress Hania Aamir alongside him. Since the film’s release, there have been rumours suggesting that Dosanjh may have been dropped from the upcoming film Border 2 — a sequel to JP Dutta’s 1997 war drama Border.

To silence the speculation, the globally renowned singer-actor shared a reel on his Instagram account yesterday, featuring footage of himself on the set of Border 2.

In the video, Dosanjh is seen stepping out of his vanity van in costume, warmly welcomed by the crew, and later dancing with background dancers while the iconic song "Sandese Aate Hain" from the original Border plays in the background.

According to an NDTV report, the third schedule of Border 2 began a week ago in Pune.

A source close to the production told the news outlet that Diljit Dosanjh has not been dropped from the film.

“The news about his replacement is not true. His casting was done nine months ago, and we have already completed 50% of the shoot,” the source confirmed.
