Court of Inquiry has been ordered: IAF

Chamarajanagar (Karnataka): The Kiran training aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in an open field of a village in Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka on Thursday.

However, both the pilots on board got out of the plane safely before the accident. The training aircraft had taken off from the air force base in Bengaluru and crashed in Bhogapur village in the early hours of the morning. District officials said that Pilot Tejpal and Bhumika suffered minor injuries, none of them lost their lives.

The Air Force tweeted, "A Kiran trainer aircraft of the IAF crashed near Chamrajnagar, Karnataka today,  while on a routine training sortie. Both aircrew ejected safely. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident."
