One of the victims was Shubham Jattwal, a PhD scholar in Forensic Science from Panjab University (PU) and a BH-3 resident
Four people were involved in the accident. The only survivor, Maanvendra, a Forensic Science research scholar at PU, has received critical injuries and is in a critical state.
The remaining victims who were killed are Rubina, an independent professional, and Saurabh Panday, an alumnus of Panjab University's Human Genome Department, who graduated in 2023 and was attached to PGI.
The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the mortuary of Phase 6 Hospital, and the victims' families have been notified by the authorities. The authorities are continuing to investigate to identify further information about the incident and the individuals involved.
This tragic incident has plunged the community into shock as they lament the premature death of these people.
