As per the sources, the victim's daughter went to the local public toilet. Since she didn't return within the specific time, her mother went to find her. Reaching the public toilet, she heard the cry of her daughter.

The mother opened the toilet door and found the accused attempting to escape naked. She raised an alarm and some of the youths passing by came and apprehended the accused. Accused was handed over to Mauli Jagran police who was on duty in the area. Girl was shifted to nearby hospital where she is undergoing treatment. Accused was drunk at the time of incident, says police

The accused has been arrested under Section 65 (3) of the BNS and provisions of the POCSO Act.

This incident again brings to mind the importance of being cautious and taking care of vulnerable members of our society. The prompt action of the mother and the youths around proved helpful in arresting the accused and saving the child.

The community members have expressed concerns over the incident and demanded strict action against the accused. "The incident serves to underscore the importance of community vigilance and of enhanced security measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future, " stated the police.
