Bharti AXA plans to expand operations in Punjab

Chandigarh: Bharti AXA Life Insurance, a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and AXA, has planned to set up operations at six new locations in Punjab in next financial year.  

The company has decided to expand and strengthen its distribution network and presence in the state in 2018-19, Bharti AXA Life Insurance CEO Vikas Seth said in a release.

''We are already present at nine locations in Punjab and growing significantly year-on-year. We have identified six new locations in Punjab to expand the company's distribution network and increase its footprints and reach in the state for our quality products and services,'' Seth added.  

At present, Bharti AXA Life Insurance is present at nine locations, which are Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Moga, Jalandhar, Bhatinda, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar and Patiala. He said the addition of six more new business locations or branches in Punjab will generate significant employment opportunities in the state.

''Our expansion drive will help the company generate over 1,000 employment opportunities, including insurance agents and sales managers in the state in the new financial year. The larger objective is to further strengthen our productive agent base with a view to increasing insurance penetration in the country,'' he added.  

Bharti AXA Life Insurance hired over 750 insurance advisors in Punjab in the current financial year, he said. PTI
