New Delhi: Micro-blogging website Twitter has launched a new feature Voice Tweet. This feature is currently available for iOS. The company has said that it is initially being launched for limited users.

Twitter said that sometimes 280 words is not enough to say something, so the company wants to make Twitter more effective with this feature. So now users will be able to record tweets in their own voice.

The way you use Voice Tweet is the same as you do Text Tweet. For Voice Tweet, open Tweet Composer and here you will see a new icon. After tapping it you will get the option to record.

In the meantime, your profile photo will appear in the center and the record button will appear here. You can send voice tweets by tapping. You can record for upto 140 seconds of audio in each voice tweet. If you want to record more than that, keep recording. A new voice tweet will start after the limit expires automatically.

Twitter Voice tweets will appear in the Twitter feed in the same way as normal tweets. You have to click on the photo to hear the voice tweet. Once a tweet is finished, the next voice tweet will start automatically.
