In a significant move to boost the real estate sector in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has introduced measures aimed at easing processes for developers and builders. The Punjab government recently held a special camp where clearance certificates were issued to 51 colonizers involved in real estate, providing a much-needed relief to the sector.
During the event, Punjab's Housing Construction and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha handed out colony licenses, completion certificates, letters of intent, zoning plans, building plans, promoter registration certificates, and layout plans to the 51 real estate promoters and builders.
Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian highlighted Chief Minister Mann’s efforts to support the real estate sector by organizing this special camp. He emphasized that the government is committed to addressing the concerns of real estate developers transparently and on a priority basis. To further streamline the process, an email (transparency.hud@gmail.com) has been set up, allowing developers to directly lodge complaints.
The initiative has been widely appreciated by the real estate community. Rohit Jain from Horizon Green applauded the state government, stating that this move reflects the pro-investor and business-friendly policies being implemented by CM Mann. Sumit Goyal from Ludhiana also praised the initiative, noting that it will save developers from frequent visits to government offices. Sandeep Mann from Western Street described the initiative as revolutionary, saying it will propel the real estate sector in new directions.
This step by the Punjab government marks a positive shift towards a more efficient, transparent, and developer-friendly real estate environment.
