Base metals including copper, brass, zinc, and lead gained at the non-ferrous metals market here today following stockists' buying and rising demand from industrial users. Meanwhile, nickel eased further owing to lower demand from alloy industries. Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper billets and copper sheet cuttings rose by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 478, Rs 472, Rs 465, Rs 506 and Rs 462 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 475, Rs 469, Rs 462, Rs 503 and Rs 459, respectively.

Copper utensils and brass sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 440 and Rs 360 as against Rs 438 and Rs 358. Brass utensils scrap, zinc and lead inched up per kg each to Rs 345and Rs 165. However, nickel moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 970 as compared Rs 975 yesterday.
