The deadline to meet the new FASTag KYC and vehicle detail linking requirements is October 31, 2024.

FASTag New Rules: Starting August 1, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) will enforce updated Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines for FASTag users. FASTag service providers must complete the KYC process for all FASTags issued between 3 and 5 years ago by October 31.

To avoid service disruptions, ensure that your KYC information is updated. Additionally, FASTags older than five years need to be replaced, so users with older vehicles should take note.

All FASTags must now be linked to the vehicle's registration and chassis numbers. New vehicle owners are required to update their registration numbers within 90 days of purchase.

FASTag providers are also required to upload clear photos of the vehicle’s front and side to facilitate identification. Each FASTag must be associated with a mobile number to ensure effective communication and updates.

The final date to complete all these KYC requirements is October 31, 2024.
