New Delhi: The first day of Lockdown 5.0 has been a major blow to the common man to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic. The country's oil marketing companies (HPCL, BPCL, IOC) have announced hike in prices of non- subsidised LPG cylinders.
CylinderThe price of a 14.2 kg non-subsidised cylinder has gone up by Rs 11.50 per cylinder in Delhi. Now the new prices have gone up to Rs 593. In other cities too, the prices of domestic LPG cylinders have gone up from today.
It has gone up by Rs 31.50 in Kolkata, Rs 11.50 in Mumbai and Rs 37 in Chennai. Earlier in May, the price was slashed by Rs 162. At the same time, the price of a 19 kg cylinder has gone up by Rs 110 to Rs 1,139.
PhotoHowever, the hike will not impact beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala (PMUY) as they are covered by the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana and are entitled to a free cylinder till June 30.
