Chandigarh Bird Race 2024 Date Latest News: The upcoming HSBC Chandigarh Bird Race is all set to be held on February 11 in the Inter State Chandigarh Region (ISCR), covering areas like Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, Kasauli Hills, Morni Hills, Siswan Dam, and Chakki Mod in Solan.
Rima Dhillon, General Secretary of Chandigarh Bird Club, stated that after a day of bird-watching, participants will be able to share their experiences during an interactive session over dinner. The Bird Race, a dawn-to-dusk event, brings together bird-watching enthusiasts, both beginners and experts, to spend the day observing birds in and around Chandigarh.
Teams of bird watchers will explore areas from Timber Trail to Morni Hills, Chhatbir, Mirzapur Dam, Siswan Dam, Nepli, Kansal forests, and Sukhna Lake during the event. The Chandigarh Bird Race, held twice a year, is recognized for its accurate and scientific approach to bird counting.
The Chandigarh Bird Club (CBC) has over 80 registered members and conducts training sessions to teach people how to count birds.
