Claim Regarding Ongoing Farmers' Protest 2024: There are many old, misleading and fake claims that are going viral on social media regarding the ongoing farmers' protest. Leading this queue, a video of Nihang Singh offering prayer at Mosque is making rounds of social media which is being linked with ongoing farmers' agitation. It is being claimed that the farmers protesting on Haryana Borders to reach Delhi, went to Mosque and offered Namaz. By sharing this video, users are spreading communal hate.

Verification
Starting the investigation, we first watched this video carefully and searched with keywords on the matter.
"Viral Video Is Old" We found that this video was shared in many old posts. The oldest post we found was from August 2021 and, in many posts, this video was described as being from a mosque in Ahmedgarh Mandi.
Facebook user "Lakha Mehraj" shared this viral video on August 2, 2021, and wrote, "3 Nihang Singh brothers offering Namaz in Ahmedgarh Mandi"
Location Verification
Now, we further started verifying the location of this video. We searched keywords related to this mosque on YouTube and found several videos having inner section of the mosque. The inside of the mosque can be seen in a video uploaded by the account "Joint Action Committee Ahmedgarh" on YouTube on 23 January 2020.
We created a collage of this video and viral video that corroborate the scenes inside the mosque.

We also spoke to Malerkotla in-charge reporter Paramjit Singh of Spokesman TV on this matter. He described the viral video as old and confirmed that the video is from a mosque in Ahmedgarh, Malerkotla.
Rozana spokesperson does not officially confirm the date of this video but confirms that the viral video is on the internet since 2021 and this video is from a mosque in Ahmedgarh, Malerkotla district which is now going viral with misleading claims.
