Women police stations to come up at sub-divisional level: Khattar

Rewari: Women police stations would be opened at the sub-divisional level to ensure the safety of women and speedy disposal of cases pertaining to crime against women. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced this while addressing a gathering during the fifth group marriage function organised by the Murli Manohar Mandir, Thathera Samaj, here today.

“The state government has been running several schemes to empower women. While jobs in adequate numbers are being given to them in Haryana police which would have 30 per cent women employees by 2030,” said Khattar. The Chief Minister said the government was also focusing on providing higher education to the girls at their nearest place.

Khattar announced to open a women college in Jatusana town of the district, stating that this was the only area in Rewari where no college was there for women. Later, addressing a felicitation function organised by the Jangir community, the Chief Minister said the state government in collaboration with the Central government would impart skill training to 1.30 lakh youths of the state so that they could get employment in various sectors.
