Nitin Gadkari also pledged to build the “best bridges.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday promised the people of poll-bound Bihar the construction of national highways built to “world standards” on the last day of campaigning for the first phase of the state election, scheduled for November 6.
The minister made the promise while addressing a rally in Bihar’s Saran district.
Gadkari said, “...I promise to build Bihar's national highways as per world standards, and that day is not far off when I will make Bihar's roads on par with America's. This is my promise.”
The minister also pledged to build the “best bridges.”
“There are no obstacles; anything is achievable. I'm not doing you a favour - this is your money,” he added.
“You are the master, and we are the servants. We serve you honestly; that's why you elected us..." the minister further said.
Election campaigns of various political parties in the state are currently in full swing.
