Rohtak: The district police have placed six police officials under suspension for dereliction of duty during the three-day stay of BJP president Amit Shah in the town.

Rohtak: The district police have placed six police officials under suspension for dereliction of duty during the three-day stay of BJP president Amit Shah in the town.

Regarding today’s protest demonstrations, Rohtak SP Pankaj Nain said nearly 135 workers of the Congress and social organisations, 60 workers of INSO and 75 workers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were detained and released after taking preventive action.

Twenty AAP workers, who tried to block the way of the Chief Minister’s cavalcade, were booked and taken into custody.
