Farmers Delhi March Protest Latest News Today: The farmers, protesting at the Shambhu border, have made a significant announcement in a press conference regarding their upcoming march to Delhi. They have declared that the fourth delegation will move towards Delhi on January 21.
Farmer leader Sarwan Pandher revealed that 101 farmers have already embarked on their journey to Delhi. On the other hand, the SKM political and SKM non-political organisations are scheduled to hold a meeting on January 18 and if, a consensus is made to join hands in a protest against the Centre, the protest might get intensified.
He mentioned that since the central government is not yet ready for talks, they will intensify their conflict. According to him, all the farmers' demands are in the national interest and should be implemented.
This declaration comes after previous attempts to march to Delhi in December failed. Haryana police had put up barricades to stop the farmers and resorted to tear gas and water cannons. As the date approaches, all eyes are on the farmers' next move and the government's response to their demands.
Currently, farmers are protesting at the Haryana-Punjab border and Jagjit Dallewal has been on a hunger strike for the past 52 days. The situation is critical, with 111 farmers supporting the hunger strike from January 15.
The farmers are determined to continue their protest until their demands are met.
