A video is going viral on social media regarding the ongoing farmers protest in which farmers can be seen breaking the police barricade with a tractor and clashing with the police. It is being claimed that this video came from ongoing farmers protest.
Facebook user "Sidhusurjitpb19" shared the reel of this video and wrote "Punjab Kisan" and the video is captioned, "Pat'te Border Jattan Ne".
Similarly, a Facebook user named "Milan Mandeep" shared this video on 24 February 2024 with similar claim.
Spokesman found the viral post misleading in its investigation. This video is not recent but from January 2021, when during the previous farmers' protest (withdrawal of three agricultural laws), a tractor rally was held by farmers in Delhi on January 26, during which clashes between farmers and police were seen in many areas of Delhi. This video is from Akshardham Ring Road in Delhi.

Starting the investigation we first looked at this video carefully and started to find the original source of the video through keyword search.
We got to see similar scenes with this viral video in the video shared by BBC on 26 January 2021 tweet. This video has nothing to do with the recent farmers protest. According to available information, this video is of a clash between farmers and police in Delhi's Akshardham in 2021. A tractor rally was held by farmers in Delhi on January 26 during the previous (retraction of the three agricultural laws) farmers protest, during which clashes between farmers and the police were seen in many areas of Delhi.
