The decision follows complaints from Sikh groups, accusing the film of portraying the Sikh community negatively.

Kangana Ranaut Film Emergency Latest News: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has ordered 13 cuts to Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film 'Emergency', which has been granted a U/A certificate. Among the key changes:

1. A disclaimer must be added stating the film is "inspired by true events" rather than an absolute truth.
2. Historical proof is required for a scene where Jawaharlal Nehru allegedly states, "China had cut off Assam from India."
3. Bhindranwale's dialogue with Sanjay Gandhi about wanting "Khalistan" must be cut.
4. Scenes referring to Bhindranwale as a "saint" are to be removed.
5. Violent depictions of Sikhs attacking non-Sikhs must be toned down.
6. References to "Arjun Divas" related to Operation Bluestar should be eliminated.
7. Real-life footage in the film must include disclaimers for clarity.

The production team at Zee Entertainment is currently considering whether to accept the cuts, challenge them in court, or negotiate with the board.
