When asked about marriage, Aamir mentioned that he feels settled with Gauri and suggested that there is no need for a formal wedding. He also expressed uncertainty about whether getting married at 60 would be appropriate.

Aamir Khan has been married twice. His first marriage was to Reena Dutta in 1986, and they were together for 16 years before divorcing in 2002. They have two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. In 2005, Aamir married filmmaker Kiran Rao, whom he met on the sets of Lagaan, where she worked as an assistant director.
