This year, Chandigarh-based Shweta Sharda will be representing India at Miss Universe 2023.

Miss Universe 2023 Date and Schedule: It was in 1994 when Sushmita Sen was crowned as the first Miss Universe from India. She scripted history and it took over 6 years to script the history again in 2000 when Lara Dutta got a crown back. Then came Harnaaz Sandhu who won the coveted Miss Universe title in 2021 after 21 years. The heart of every Indian was filled with pride as Sandhu secured the top spot in the coveted beauty pageant. This year, all eyes are on Chandigarh-based Shweta Sharda who is representing India at Miss Universe 2023.

Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel will be crowning her successor this month. This event is being held in the magical El Salvador, which is said to be "a shining jewel in Latin America". 

Miss Universe 2023 main event date and schedule: 

The Preliminary Competition of this mega event will take place on Wednesday, November 15. The preliminary round includes both the Swimsuit and Evening Gown segments. Likewise, the National Costume Show will be held on Thursday, November 16. The main event will be held at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador on Saturday, November 18.

Who is Shweta Sharda? 

Born in Chandigarh, Shweta Sharda relocated to Mumbai at the age of 16. The 22-year-old diva's journey includes appearances in several reality shows, including Dance India Dance (DID), Dance Deewane, and Dance+. She was also seen as a choreographer on Jhalak Dikhla Ja. Read More...
