Bajrang Dal Protests Against Diljit Dosanjh’s Concert in Indore

Indore police, however, assured strict measures to maintain law and order.

Bajrang Dal Against Diljit Dosanjh's Dil Luminati Tour Latest News: Bajrang Dal staged protests on Saturday against the scheduled concert of renowned actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The concert, part of Diljit’s ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour, is set to take place today.

Yash Bachani, a member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), expressed concerns over the event, citing cultural and safety issues. "We have received information that the concert will involve the serving of liquor and meat in the open. We are here to ensure proper arrangements are in place for women's safety and to prevent any incidents of Love Jihad. Bajrang Dal strongly opposes activities that harm the city’s cultural ethos. If needed, we will take to the streets to protest against the event," said Bachani.

The protestors, chanting slogans like "Jai Jai Shri Ram" and "Desh ka Bal, Bajrang Dal," warned of escalating their demonstrations. "What you saw today was just a trailer. We’ll show the full film tomorrow," one member declared.

Indore police, however, assured strict measures to maintain law and order. "We are taking this matter seriously, especially with regard to women’s security and any potential drug-related concerns. Serving alcohol in the open has not been permitted, and we are keeping a close watch on all arrangements," said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Amrendra Singh.

The controversy comes shortly after similar protests in Pune, where the state excise department revoked the permit for serving liquor at Diljit’s concert following opposition from local organizations and political leaders.
