Ranveer Singh Drops 'Dhurandhar' First Look on Birthday  Latest News: Actor Ranveer Singh has dropped the first look of his upcoming film 'Dhurandhar' on the occasion of his birthday, July 6. The reveal follows closely on the heels of the buzz created by Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana teaser, and now, Singh’s intense look is making waves across social media.

The poster for Dhurandhar reads, “An inferno will rise. Uncover the true story of the Unknown Men.”
“Bigaad lo jo bigaad sakte ho. Bigaadne ka waqt aa gaya hai” a dialogue from the film.

Presented by Jio Studios and produced under BB2 Studios, Dhurandhar is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, best known for directing the critically acclaimed film Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film is also co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.

Inspired by what the makers describe as “incredible true events,” Dhurandhar is expected to be high on action and intensity. Ranveer Singh is seen in a rugged avatar with long hair and a thick mustache, playing a serious, possibly revolutionary character. The first look suggests a gritty narrative filled with violence, drama, and powerful storytelling.

The film also boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Kapoor, and R. Madhavan, adding to the anticipation.

In a striking move that appears to be part of the film’s promotional campaign, Ranveer Singh deleted all previous posts from his Instagram account. The only post now available is the teaser poster of Dhurandhar, and his profile photo has also been replaced with an image from the film, signaling a complete digital rebranding in sync with the film's theme.

A day before his birthday, the star had posted a cryptic Instagram story that simply read “12:12,” accompanied by crossed swords emojis. In hindsight, this was a subtle hint that something significant was set to drop at 12:12 PM the next day—and right on cue, the first look of Dhurandhar was unveiled at that exact time.

According to reports, Ranveer Singh himself watched the first look clip for the first time on Sunday. Sources suggest that director Aditya Dhar had planned it as a surprise for the actor, keeping the reveal tightly under wraps until the last moment.

The Traitors India Season 1 host and filmmaker Karan Johar also shared the first look video on his Instagram story, writing, “Happy birthday Ranveer Singh! What a blockbuster way to celebrate!”

As fans marked his birthday, the unexpected reveal created massive buzz across social media platforms, further fueling anticipation for Dhurandhar, which is now being hailed as one of the most awaited films in recent times.
The film is slated for release on December 5, 2025.
