The developments come days after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended the funeral of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia
A Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) spokesperson on Saturday stated that both Pakistan and Bangladesh are “sending terrorist” to India and asserted that “we will completely boycott Bangladesh.”
Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey made the remarks while speaking to news agency ANI after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) asked Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan to drop Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman’s name.
"The BCCI has understood the sentiments of millions of Indians and has taken this decision. We are not against cricket, but we should not forget with whom we are playing. Pakistan and Bangladesh are sending terrorists onto our soil, targeting Hindus and other minorities there, and we are expected to play cricket with them. This is impossible,” Anand Dubey said.

Khan, who is the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), had secured Mustafizur for Rs. 920 crore at the IPL auction held in December.
“Shah Rukh Khan should have dropped the player, but the BCCI had to intervene. In the coming days, we will completely boycott Bangladesh..." he added.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has a different take. Priyank Kharge, the franchise was following the rules laid by BCCI and ICC. He added that these bodies should be questioned.
"If Shahrukh Khan is anti-national, so is BCCI and ICC... What is the Home Minister and his son doing?" Priyank Kharge questioned.
"BJP evokes nationalism when it is beneficial to them; otherwise, they are the biggest anti-nationals in the history of India..." he added.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sangeet Singh Som had called Shah Rukh Khan a “traitor” for investing in a Bangladeshi, citing atrocities against minorities, especially Hindus.
The developments come days after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended the funeral of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and met her son, Tarique Rahman.
The External Affairs Minister also handed over a personal letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Tarique Rahman.
