He also asserted that fuel is available at stations across the country.
Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday said that LPG production has been increased by 28%, while criticizing what he described as fake narratives.
“This is not the moment for rumour-mongering or fake narratives. India is navigating the most severe global energy disruption in recorded history,” Puri said while speaking in the Lok Sabha.
He added that fuel supply continues to flow steadily, gas is being prioritised for homes and farms, and LPG production has been stepped up by 28%.
“Consumer prices are being kept far below what market trends and regional competitors would otherwise dictate,” the minister added.
He also asserted that fuel is available at stations across the country.
“India must stand united behind the energy workers, behind the institutions managing the crisis, and behind the national interest. The record of preparation and the record of response speak for themselves,” he said.
